About us

A savings and loans home, built by and for our community.

HTM Financial Services is a member-owned savings and credit group serving our church family, the local community, and members living abroad. We're currently on a path toward formal SACCO registration.

Our story

HTM Financial Services grew out of a simple need: our church family wanted a trustworthy place to save together and to borrow from each other without going through a distant bank that didn't know or serve them well.

What began as informal, paper-based record-keeping is now moving onto a real digital core banking system, the same kind of technology regulated financial institutions run on, so that every member's savings and loans are tracked accurately, permanently, and transparently, however fast the community grows.

We're not yet a licensed SACCO or bank, and we're upfront about that. Registering as a SACCO under Uganda's cooperative framework is the path we're building toward, and the systems we're putting in place today, like an immutable ledger, audit trails, and proper approvals, are designed with that future firmly in mind.

What we stand for

Community-rooted

We started as a way for our church family to save and support each other financially, and that community-first spirit is still how we operate today.

Transparent by design

Every deposit, withdrawal, and loan repayment posts to an immutable, double-entry ledger. Nothing is ever silently edited or deleted after the fact.

Built for the diaspora

A large share of our members live abroad. The member portal, statements, and loan applications all work the same whether you're in Kampala or overseas.

Member-owned

This is a savings and credit group owned by its members, not outside shareholders. It exists to serve the people who save and borrow through it.

Join a community that saves together.
